Take Back the Night Event

Join us for Take Back the Night on April 30 at the campus of Southwestern Illinois College as we come together to support survivors of sexual assault and raise awareness in our community.

​

Participants will begin gathering at 6:30 PM to receive candles, with the walk starting at 7:00 PM in the Campus Quad. Guest speakers will present in the theatre starting around 7:30–7:45 PM.

​

Community agencies and partners conducting a resource tables will be present and can arrive between 5:30–6:00 PM to set up prior to the walk. Tables and chairs will be provided, and campus signage, student volunteers, and security staff will be available to help direct you to the appropriate setup location as well as the starting point of the walk.

​

This event is proudly hosted in partnership with the HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital SANE Team, Scott Air Force Base, and the SWIC Nursing Department. We are grateful for the collaboration of our community partners and hope to see strong community representation through resource tables and attendance.
